Workspaces

Everything in Meldoc lives inside a workspace — your projects, documents, team members, settings, and assets. If your company were Dundler Paper Co., your workspace is Dundler Paper Co. One workspace, one home base for all your documentation.

Most teams only need a single workspace. You’d only create a second one if you’re managing documentation for completely separate organizations.

What you’ll find inside

Projects — Collections of related documents. Your “DundlerOS API” docs and your “Warehouse Service” docs each live in their own project.

Team members — Everyone who has access, from admins who manage settings to members who contribute. Team Roles & Permissions breaks down what each role can do.

Assets — Shared images and files that your documents reference.

Settings — Workspace name, timezone, date format, integration tokens, and billing.

Glossary — Define terms that auto-highlight in your documents. Open it from the Glossary tab on your workspace Overview. See Glossary for the full rundown.

Integration Tokens — CLI tokens for syncing from your repo, MCP tokens for AI access.

Create one

Select the workspace name in the sidebar, then + Create workspace. You give it a name and pick a plan — Free needs no payment details — and you land on the new workspace’s Overview.

Pick a name your team will recognise at a glance: it appears in the sidebar, in URLs and in invitations, so the company or team name usually beats anything longer. You can change it later in Workspace Settings, and changing it does not change the URL slug below.

A new workspace has only you in it. Add people from Settings → Members — see Invitations.

Create workspace form

Switch between workspaces

If you belong to more than one workspace, click the workspace name in the sidebar and pick a different one from the dropdown.

Workspace URL

Each workspace has a unique URL slug:

https://app.meldoc.io/w/your-workspace-slug

The slug is auto-generated from your workspace name when the workspace is created.
