Assets
Upload once, use everywhere. Assets are images, videos, and files stored at the workspace level — every project shares the same pool.
How assets work
Assets are shared across all your projects. You can reference the same image in multiple documents — it’s still one file. If you upload a file that already exists, Meldoc reuses it rather than storing a duplicate.
Uploads happen from documents — drag an image into the editor, or use the document’s Files panel. Every uploaded file lands in the workspace library, which you can browse in the Assets tab on your workspace Overview.
Deleting a document doesn’t delete its assets. Remove assets directly from the asset library to free up storage.
Supported formats
The list is closed — anything not on it is refused at upload.
Images: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG.
Video: MP4, WebM, MOV.
Documents: PDF.
Text and data: TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, HTML.
Office files (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) and archives (ZIP, RAR, 7Z) are not accepted. Link to them from wherever they already live instead.
Storage limits
Each plan includes a storage limit. Check current usage in Settings → Plan & Billing → Limits & Usage. See Plans & Billing for details.
